SWISS PLACES - The Rhine Falls

To kick off our tour of Switzerland, I opted for something that pretty much everyone I know has done in their first few weeks of living in Zug - and we have yet to do in the 7 years we have been here. Liam took a day off work, and with hot, sunny weather on the cards - we headed for The Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen.

 

The Rhine Falls is Europe's largest waterfall and by ship one can reach castles, the Rhine Falls Basin and even the mighty rock in the midst of the waterfall. Naturally, we had to do all three - and would totally recommend the varied boat trips - but if you only do one - celect the one that takes you right into the falls as you get to feel the water and the roar of the falls over your body. The girls loved it!

 

 

 

 

OTHER FUN THINGS
- We took the lift up to the Castle, and had a lovely lunch at the Restaurant.
- The girls took turns making their first pressed coin souvenir ever.
- For "photo of the week" they posed on a cow bench - as one must.
- and we all tried the Rhine Falls Water, and all agreed it tasted a bit "different".
